I got my CDL
160 was not a bad thing. The classroom, (first week), is excruciatingly detailed and boring but informative. The instructors at the yard were excellent! Chris and John are very helpful and patient and will do their absolute best to help you learn and succeed, as long as you show the willingness to listen and learn. Overall a good experience, thanks in large part to the instructors at the yard. I had no prior tractor trailer experience nor mechanically minded and I passed my CDL drivers test first try. I would recommend the 160 Driving Academy of Charleston, WV to someone interested in tractor trailer driving
Life changing
The best exsperiance ever. Through all the struggles I went through trying to get to a cdl school. 160 driving reachednout to me on a daily basis and walked me through every step of the way. I made friends there that will be with me for a life time. The staff treat you with up most respect and they truly care about you and the things you go through. A huge shoutout to Amanda and Madison at the Lawrenceburg location. They never gave up on me and with there help I am now on my way to success. It’s such a fast and easy program. The way the teach you at the yard welds the information in your brain. Where I will never forget what I learned there. And when I went to test at the big yard, it was just like another day at the training yard. It came so natural and so easy just because of the fact that they will not send you up there if they don’t think you’re ready. 160 DRIVING ACADEMY CHANGED MY LIFE. Huge shoutout to all that was there for me along the way. Amanda, Madison, and Monica. Thank you thank you thank you
One and done
Thanks to lead Instructor Chad and yard Instructor Shawn for helping me get through it. one and done
160 taught us well
I want to 1st give thanks to the instructors I had while at 160 driving academy in Evansville indiana. Our main instructor Roy Williams is amazing (and a funny guy I may add) he taught me and my fellow trucking classmates the ropes, in and outs, Do's and dont's, how to be cautious and safe, etc...I couldn't ask for a better instructor. The other 2 instructors (Roger Hardy from 160 in Louisville KY, and Donna from Bedford IN) were also amazing. I appreciate them both a ton. Never once did I feel uncomfortable or unsure about taking the CDL coarse. They were all a blessing to me for I passed on my 1st go round 😁 I am happy I attended and finished my courses/drivers test. I love and appreciate them all as well as very thankful. I really loved going to 160 driving academy in Evansville IN.

The support I needed when it mattered most
I’m currently enrolled at the Toledo CDL school, and I’ll be honest—I didn’t think I’d make it this far. I’m in recovery. I’m part of a reentry program. I’ve got a record, a past, and a lifetime of being told I wasn’t good enough. Losing my father during this journey almost took me out completely. But my branch manager kat didn’t let me fall. She’s been more than just admin—she’s been a lifeline. She talks to me like I matter, like I’m more than my past, and she backs it up with real support. Counseling, motivation, belief— And on the days I wanted to give up...She reminded me that I’ve already come too far to quit now. I’m not finished with the program yet, but for the first time in my life, I actually believe I can do it! Not because it’s easy—but because someone saw something in me I forgot was there. If you’re thinking about this school and you’ve got a rough past—don’t count yourself out. Come to Toledo. Meet Katherine. She’ll help you see the future you stopped believing in.
1 year ago went to 160 Driving Academy San Bernardino
Well, it's been one year now since I went to 160 Driving Academy at San Bernardino. I completed the course, got my CDL on my first attempt and 3 days later began working as a OTR Long Haul Truck Driver. My Lead Instructor Lori & her team were fantastic. There are a great group of Instructors. I personally worked with Tracy, Daniel, Jo Jo, Tony and Matt took me to the CDL test at Fontana. Lookong back now, it was a blazing hot summer but probably one of the best times of my life. We, the students, we're all new to this and there was so much to learn. I made a big commitment to myself on doing this, going forward and not looking back. I actually quit working to go to my 160 Driving Academy during the month of June nonstop, uninterrupted and to finish it. I did finish it, got my CDL and gratefully hired byva local company 3 days after I got my CDL. I'm on the road as I write this review. It definitely was one of my greatest experiences of my life. I would like to always keep that fresh, new, young spirited feeling of being a new driver. Kinda of like keeping that new car smell always. I run all 48 states and earn a really good living. Opportunities are endless in this trucking business. I've had the chance to visit and see family and friends throughout the country. 160 Driving Academy was definitely without doubt worth the investment. I can honestly say that if you are honesty committed and really want this then 169 Driving Academy is the road ahead. Its a very casual school, down to earth people, not complicated and shouldn't be. Hey, it's truck driving. It's simple, it's fun and a great job. Don't make it difficult or overthink it. I looked high and low and read reviews on so many schools. 160 Driving Academy is priced right, local offices everywhere and a national recognized brand in the business. I succeeded at 160 Driving Acadmy and you can too. See you on the road!
CDL Training at 160
This was a great experience. My instructor Dave was very knowledgeable and patient in teaching. He did a thorough job and on test day, I was ready to go. Ed was exceptional in communicating with me before starting the class and in scheduling my appointments with the dmv, dot physical, & drug screen. I’d give 6 stars if possible.
My experience @160 phnx location
Eddie, Mark, Eric and Paul were great trainers. I learned a lot in four weeks I would not change anything different to experience was unbelievable in a positive way. I will recommend the school to anyone. Thank you very much for everything you did for me.
